Anyway, The Happiness Project is divided into months, each representing a new goal that Gretchen set for herself. Basically, she made a goal to live a happier life, and carried out new goals for each month. I've gotten through January (Boost Energy), and February (Remember Love). I am trying to steadily go through the book, because I do not want to rush things and take no time to stop and think about what I am reading.
So back to flying home, I did have a connecting flight, so I was able to scarf down a quick (yet expensive) breakfast. Airport food is not cheap! I settled for a tall Salted Caramel Mocha from Starbucks and Cinnabites from Cinnabon. Both very good, but so fattening. I planned on sleeping when I was on the plane, because I had a 6 am flight, but I was unable to stop reading. This book is seriously getting to me. I would recommend The Happiness Project for everybody! While it does talk about doing better with spouses and family, it carries many values and changes that anybody can adapt to their own life.
After I got home from the airport, I slept until mid-afternoon, and did nothing from that point on until I again went to bed that night. I watched The King's Speech, which was incredible. But then went right on to bed.

I woke up today around 11, made myself a quick breakfast, then got back in bed to continue to read The Happiness Project. I read that for awhile, then began reading Watchmen. Yes, it is a comic book. My boyfriend really enjoys great comics, and I want to show him that I am interested in trying out what he likes to do, so I have been slowly making my way through the book. It actually isn't half bad. It's not something I would find at a bookstore then purchase and read, but I'm reading it for him. When I was finished with that for awhile, I began reading my daily devotional.
I recently started reading Jesus Calling by Sarah Young, because it was given to me as a birthday gift. The daily entries are short, but I love them! Each daily entry also includes a few scripture passages at the end, which are great to read too. Having a daily devotional has helped me to make devo time a habit. I want to make sure I keep on track with the dates, so I stick to reading it every day.
All in all, today has been a great day of just relaxed reading. I go to work tonight for the first time in a week, but I am finished with the semester so I have nothing to be stressed out about. Yep, this break is starting on a really good note.
