A week without spending.

Is that even possible? I believe it is. It simply means eating at home, no buying things that I see at work that I "just have to get", no impulse buying. I know it will be tough, but I've got to learn how to enjoy life's little pleasures without constantly buying things. I also don't really have the money to be spending on extra things right now anyway. I really should be saving because I've got a list of things I hope to do in the future (can somebody say Haiti?).

Another thing that I will be focusing on this week is on simplifying. I have always had the qualities of a hoarder, and I have got to learn to let go of things that I know I will never use or wear. I hear it so often, especially in retail: people say they get rid of so much and then there always ends up being more. This is a buying society; we are always looking for the next best thing. I have asked myself the question already this week: Do I really need this? Oftentimes, most times really, the answer is no.

Hard as it may be, I won't allow myself to fail at this goal. Well Mr. Debit Card and Mrs. Cash, I've got one thing to say to you...

Challenge accepted.
