I mean how could you not love her? I have yet to hear somebody say that they don't like Ellie Goulding. It was just one of those concerts where you're so impressed because the singer sounds great live, with no auto-tune or anything. The girl knows how to put on a great show.
2. Going to the top of the Willis Tower
This is something that I had wanted to do ever since the glass boxes were added to the Skydeck. Basically, these pop-out glass windows were added so that you could walk out onto them and be standing over the city. It's enough to freak a person out, but it's so cool.
3. Reading I Kissed Dating Goodbye
Seriously, that book will change you. It completely transformed my view of dating, and singleness for that matter, and I am so happy that I read it. I read it a time when I really needed to hear what its pages had to say, and it has radically changed everything the world has taught me about dating. I highly recommend it.
4. Seeing my best friend
Do I even have to explain that one? With the 8-hour distance, the times I spend with my best friend are so cherished. We spent the day on the lake in Michigan at her family's new lake house, and the day was just perfect. Boating, tubing, sailing, paddle boating, jet skiing, eating great food, and being surrounded by my second family. It was an absolutely perfect day.
5. Getting my hair cut
When I was contemplating whether or not to get my hair cut, a friend of mine told me that when she got her hair short, it meant so much more than just getting a haircut. It symbolized a change, in a way. For me, it symbolized a change and fresh start in a lot of ways. I can't help but smile when I look in the mirror.
